Quest for Health

My quest for health, and wanting to feel better, has been a mission of mine for over the last sixteen years. As I look back over the time that I was growing up only now do I realize what a tremendous struggle it was for me during those years and how bad I had actually felt. I hit rock bottom shortly after my daughter was born in 1994. It is impossible for me to describe the fatigue, pain, panic attacks and all the other issues that I had to endure on a daily basis. To go back to those days, and remember the effort it took just to get through them, is something I want to do as seldom as possible.

Up to several years ago I had visited several dozen doctors and all types of health practitioners. I will not even go into list of who all I saw. Each one did the best they could, in their own area of expertise, but it was all to no avail. I tried supplements, treatments, cleanses, diets, prescription drugs, alternative therapies, dental work, and as many natural things that I could find. At times I would feel somewhat better but sooner or later I would reenter the same dark place. I was diagnosed with so many illnesses: Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Epstein Barr Virus, Compromised Immune System, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and Thyroid Issues. There were so many I cannot even remember them all. I have file after file of tests, evaluations and recommendations.

During this entire process I raised my daughter, oversaw and still operate a number of successful businesses, and tried to keep a positive attitude and enjoy life. I have no idea how I accomplished what I have but I guess it was because I was genetically blessed and inherited the willpower to survive from my mother. Giving up was never an option. It is all somewhat of a miracle.

I eventually came to the conclusion that I was dealing with a lifelong issue that was never going to get better and that I better just do the best I could on my own. I tried to exercise on a regular basis, eat what I thought was the best types of foods, and keep focused on the blessings of life. There was almost a relief in not being so obsessed about getting well.

Almost a year ago I was talking to my dentist’s wife about finding a nutritionist for my daughter. She was having health issues and her immune system seemed vary compromised. From that day on I have been on an incredible journey that has changed my life forever.

When my daughter and I walked into Cheryl Diane’s office I knew that something was very different from what I had experienced in the past. I am not going to get into any details, or tell you any stories, about the journey that Cheryl has taken me and my daughter through. I hope you will be able to experience what she has done for us yourself. It has been a life changing process for both of us in so many ways. I have become educated in so many areas besides just nutrition. I thought I knew what eating healthy was before but have found out how wrong I was.

Cheryl never gave me a name for the disease or condition that I have. It makes no difference to me at this point. It is not about attaching a name to why we feel bad. I do know that I am on the path to a better quality life and I am now getting the relief that I have longed for since I was a kid.

Changing one’s lifestyle is one of the most difficult things one can do. We want to do the things that feel good to us and that we have become accustomed to. I found out quite soon how hard bad habits are to break. Once those bad habits are conquered there are great physical, mental, and spiritual rewards!

Many of you are not ready to take the steps that I have taken and I can understand that. It took me 48 years to get to this point. When you are ready to make the commitment to follow the recommendations that Cheryl gives you, your life will change forever. Without health, life has no meaning, future or hope.

This is the first and probably the last testimonial that I will ever write. I look forward to the rest of my journey knowing that I now have the ability to make a difference in so many more ways. I wish for you the same.
