Samuel, Retired Lawyer, 70 years old

I was first referred to Cheryl Diane by an internist with whom I consulted for persistent digestive problems. I had been going to the same gastroenterologist for about six years for a continuing problem with diarrhea. I was put on various drugs, had endoscopies and colonoscopies nearly every six months, and was told that I had “inflamed bowel disease.” One lab report following a colonoscopy said I had “inflammation from an unknown source.” One of the medications, which seemed to stabilize the diarrhea the best, was reported by the Cleveland Clinic to cause loss of bone density if taken over a prolonged period of time. Since I had been taking this drug for about five years, I consulted with the gastroenterologist about the report. The doctor ordered a bone density scan which, to no one’s surprise, showed severe loss of bone density. The doctor took me off of the offending drug and replaced it with another drug, which made the digestive problem much worse. That is when I decided to change doctors.

When I gave my new doctor my symptoms, he looked at me and said: “I can have you cured in three weeks or less without drugs.” Since I had been suffering for over six years and was a new patient of his, I thought he was being a bit cavalier about my problem. He told me he thought I had Celiac disease and he referred me to a web site to order a test kit from a lab in Texas to confirm his diagnosis, and he gave me the name of a Nutritionist in town, Cheryl Diane.

After the test results came back from the lab, confirming his diagnosis and adding that I was also lactose intolerant, I scheduled an appointment with Cheryl. Cheryl went over my lab results with me, telling me all of the things I could and could not eat in order to resolve the digestive problems. Sure enough, with the proper nutritional information, and following her advice carefully, my problems went away in about two weeks. Unfortunately, many of my favorite foods are no longer available to me, but when I reflect back on the adverse effect consuming them had on my system for over six years, I am more than willing to follow Cheryl’s advice.

In addition to changing my diet to cure the digestive problems, Cheryl started me on a regimen of nutritional supplements to replace the bone density loss as well as give my body the nutrients it needed to rebuild the damage done to it over the years from taking the wrong approach to solving my digestive problems. After working with Cheryl for a little over fifteen months, I now feel so much better, with more energy, more stamina and more desire to be active, that my wife comments on the change on a regular basis. I am playing golf at least three times a week, going to yoga classes weekly, walking more, and will be back to competitive sailing in the spring with a new sailboat. At age seventy, I feel better than I did five years ago. Cheryl’s approach to the body healing itself naturally is a wonderful change from the drug related approach of traditional Western Medicine trained doctors. And for me, it has really worked.
